Fluted centralizer

A fluted centralizer is used to centralize wireline tool strings inside the tubing, during operations in deviated wells. The fluted centralizer is positioned above the running or pulling tool in the tool string, and its OD is sized to suit the tubing. This procedure also allows the centralizer to be used as a drift or gauge, in addition to centering the tool string.
